Ottawa, ON – Both Tri County and Fredericton brought their A-games to the field this afternoon as they would earn birth into Sunday’s final. The hosts will have all their fans on their side while Tri County will look to steal the thunder and take home Gold for their town.
The Bronze medal match between Sherwood and Moncton will begin at 10:00a.m. ADT Sunday while the Gold medal match will begin at 2:00p.m. ADT.

Semi-Final #1
Tri County (NS1) 13 Moncton (NB1) 0
Blake Trueman (Lower Sakville, NS) allowed only two hits in a complete game shutout victory over Moncton to send his team into Sunday’s final. To go along with the win on the mound, Trueman smacked of his team’s three home runs in the game. Brook Mingo (Truro, NS) and Jaden Griffen (Lower Sakville, NS) had the others, while Lee Holeman (Lower, Sakville, NS) also chipped in with three RBI of his own.
Semi-Final #2
Fredericton (Host) 11 Sherwood (PE2)
After winning earlier in the day to reach the semis Sherwood was looking to cap off a perfect day, but it wasn’t meant to be as they fell to host Fredericton. After a wild first inning which saw Fredericton leading Sherwood 4-3, Fredericton stepped up their game on both sides of the ball with strong pitching and timely hitting. Ryan Scott (Quispamsis, NB), Jordan MacDonald (Fredericton, NB), and Riley Burtt (Fredericton, NB) combined for seven RBI to lead their team to Sunday’s final. Chandler Laporte (Cornwall, PE) and Liam Laybolt (Mount Stewart, PE) hit home runs in the loss.
Tiebreaker
Sherwood (PE2) 6 Dartmouth (NS2) 4
Connor McGregor (Sherwood, PE) struck out eight over five and two-thirds innings to help his team advance to the semi finals where Fredericton awaited them. He allowed only four hits and walked only one to set his team up nicely. Garret Peterson (Timberlea, NS) had a spectacular game in the loss, going 4/4 with two RBI.
