50 for 50: Week 10 winner revealed, Semi-Final rounds begin July 14th

OTTAWA-Week 10 of voting in Baseball Canada’s 50 for 50 contest is complete and our final semi-finalist has been determined.

Canada defeats USA in 2006 World Baseball Classic won out and will move on to the semi-final round beginning on July 14th.

Here are your ten semi-finalists. They are:

- Women’s National Team program begins in 2004

- Canada wins bronze at 1999 Pan Am Games

- Loewen/Francis taken in Top 10 in 2002 MLB Draft

- Canada wins 2011 Pan Am Games gold medal

- National Team Qualifies for 2008 Olympics

- BC’s dominance at Baseball Canada Cup-20 medals in 24 years

- Canada qualifies for 2004 Athens Olympics

- Canada wins gold at 1991 World Youth Championships

- The legend of Stubby Clapp

Canada defeats USA in 2006 World Baseball Classic

The first semi-final round will begin on Monday, July 14th and conclude on Friday, July 18th, while the second semi-final round will commence on Monday, July 21st and conclude on Friday, July 25th.

Voters will be able to choose one of the following five choices for a chance to compete in the final showdown. 

Semi-Final round 1 (Voting: July 14th 12pm ET-July 18th 10am ET)

3) The legend of Stubby Clapp

4) Canada defeats USA in 2006 World Baseball Classic
