Baseball Canada Championships: Flurry of action Thursday to open week two

OTTAWA – It was opening day on the second round of national championship tournaments across the country, with opening ceremonies and tight games from coast to coast.

Here are some notable results, and all scores from that opening day.

North York began the tournament on a good note, representing Ontario with a bang in their opening game of the tournament with a 13-2 win over Manitoba.

Elsewhere, Alberta, Quebec, and British Columbia each opened their tournaments with wins, with other notable performances from Joshua Jones and Emerick Bayard Fournier. They each had four ribbies.
