Baseball Nova Scotia Job Posting: Executive Director

Make a difference to baseball in Nova Scotia

Location: Halifax City

Position: Executive Director

Baseball Nova Scotia is seeking an ambitious and motivated individual with proven experience in program development, implementation and evaluation. A true self-starter, the Executive Director (ED) shall serve as the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) for Baseball Nova Scotia, responsible for the interpretation and implementation of policies relative to the day-to-day operations of the Association. The ED is responsible to work with community baseball organizations affiliated with Baseball Nova Scotia, schools and community groups to identify, collaborate and support the continuation and creation of sustainable baseball opportunities in Nova Scotia. The ED is also responsible for hiring, training and monitoring summer staff.

Reporting to the volunteer president, the ED will be based in Halifax and work closely with the executive and regional directors of the volunteer Baseball Nova Scotia board, Sport Nova Scotia, representatives for the Department of Health and Wellness and Baseball Canada to support baseball opportunities throughout Nova Scotia.

The ideal candidate will have a university or college designation in a related field or equivalent work experience coaching, playing or administrating sport at the provincial or national team level. Experience in marketing, communications, and event/meeting coordination would be considered assets.
