HOW IT HAPPENED

-Starter Jaden Griffin (Lower Sackville, NS) was putting the finishing touches on his third scoreless inning before the Braves struck for three, two-out runs to open the scoring. A single and walk both scored on a triple to right field before a double to left brought in the third run of the inning.
-The juniors clawed their way back into the game in the fifth with two runs courtesy of a Clayton Keyes (Calgary, AB) RBI single before Michael Stovman (Maple Ridge, BC) cashed in Noah Naylor (Mississauga, ON) from third on a sac fly to left. Adam Hall (London, ON) was hit by a pitch to reach as the first batter of the inning and stole second before Naylor walked.
-Will Undershute (Okotoks, AB) took over for Griffin in the fourth and cruised until the sixth when he allowed a leadoff triple to centre. After getting two consecutive strikeouts, a single to right brought in the runner from third to give the Braves a two run lead.
-The juniors fought back to tie the score with two runs in the sixth. Rhys Cratty (Langley, BC) led off with a walk before Matthew Coutney (Wetaskiwin, AB) singled to left to put runners on first and second. After a strikeout, Denzel Clarke (Pickering, ON) walked to load the bases to set the table for Dondrae Bremner (Toronto, ON) who drove the first pitch he saw into centre for a two-run single.
-In the seventh, with one out and Austin Brown (Powell River, BC) on the mound, three consecutive singles brought in the go ahead run.
