Get ready for four more Baseball Canada National Championships!

OTTAWA – If four Baseball Canada National Championship tournaments weren’t enough for you last week we have got you covered as four more events are set to kick-off tomorrow! Get ready for some more great baseball, Canada!

13U National

For the first time since 2008, a 13U National Championship will be held and London, Ontario will play host to this year’s event. Eight teams including host London, Alberta, Atlantic, BC, Ontario, Saskatchewan and two Québec entries will vie for the National Championship with action beginning tomorrow at 11am ET at Stronach Fields. Teams will enjoy a welcome party this evening that surely will be a great time as one of the planned activities includes a trip to Wally World Water Park. 15U

Vaughan, Ontario will, for the sixth consecutive year, play host to some of the top 15 and under teams in the country for the Baseball Canada 15U National Championship. The event, held at the Vaughan Grove Sports Park, has been a resounding success in the past and this year’s event promises to be another one to remember! Ontario has won the past two events and will be challenged this year by representatives from the other nine provinces and host Vaughan. With eleven teams participating, thirty-three games are scheduled to take place over a four-day span so if you’re in the Vaughan area, make sure to take the time to check-out some of the top 15U talent in the country! Players and coaches will be treated to a social activity tonight before tournament play begins tomorrow at 8:30am ET. For more information, please visit: baseball.ca/15uboys

16U Girls Invitational

Players, coaches, umpires and fans are in for a treat this week in Jonquiére, Québec as the 16U Girls Invitational will take place in the Saguenay region beginning tomorrow and running through until Sunday. A record nine teams will take part in the event including two from Québec along with BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador with games taking place at Stade Arvida. Ontario will look to defend their title won in 2013, but expect host Québec, last year’s silver medalists, to provide a solid challenge on home soil along with all other teams. Senior Men

Arguably the most popular of the ten Baseball Canada National Championship, the Senior Men event will get underway tomorrow in St. John’s, NL at both St. Pat’s ballpark and Smallwood Field. Although the games don’t get started until tomorrow morning, fans will be treated to a home run derby tonight (4:30pm ET) at St. Pat’s ballpark with proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation under the title “Hit a Home Run for Heart & Stroke”. Can’t make it to the derby, no problem as the home run derby along with all tournament games will be streamed live (link provided below). Once the action begins, ten teams will be looking to capture the gold medal including host St. John’s, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, two Ontario reps, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
