OTTAWA-The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced their deadlines to bid on international competition for 2018 and 2019 events.
Parties interested in bidding on a WBSC event must first notify Baseball Canada of their intentions and submit their bid package no later than Friday, October 9th, 2015.
Baseball Canada will review all interested bids at the Baseball Canada Fall Convention November 4-7 before bringing forward to the WBSC.
The following WBSC events are available for bids:
2018 events:
VIII WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup
2019 events:
XXIX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup
All National Federations interested in the bids can download the manuals about the standards that WBSC tournament hosts need to fulfill from ibaf.org. A form to express interest in hosting a tournament is also available for download.
