JNT: Astros top juniors in fall action

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Astros got on the board in the top of the first using a one out single followed by a double with two out to go up, 1-0.
-In the fourth, a solo home run and three straight singles put the Astros up by three.
-The juniors got things gong in the fourth as Edouard Julien (Québec, QC) singled and moved to third after a pair of wild pitched before Cooper Davis (Mississauga, ON) lifted a fly ball to the outfield that allowed Julien to tag and score.
-After scoring a run in the fifth on an RBI single, the Astros went up 6-1 in the sixth on back-to-back RBI singles.
-They put the game away in the seventh with four runs including a two run single.

JNT HIGHLIGHTS

-After giving up a run in the first, JNT starter Mathieu Deneault-Gauthier (Candiac, QC) settled in tossing two scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and fanned one over three innings of work.
-The juniors managed four hits on the afternoon coming from Dondrae Bremner (Toronto, ON), Soren Graversen (Calgary, AB), Julien and Luke Van Rycheghem (Kent Bridge, ON).
