Featuring some of the top 17-and-under talent across Canada, the Baseball Canada Cup will see all ten provinces send teams to Moncton to compete for National Championship. Saskatchewan enters the event as the defending gold medalists from the last time the event was held in 2016 and also took home gold at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg that featured select squads at the 17U level.

Team Sask will face challengers in Pool A that include British Columbia, Ontario and Québec all looking to dethrone the champions. In fact, the four provinces in Pool A are the only squads to capture a Baseball Canada Cup title since the events’ inception in 1989. BC leads the way with 11 titles, while Ontario, Québec and Saskatchewan has eight, six and two respectively.

Pool B entries Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia and PEI will be looking to make history becoming the first squad from that pool to win a gold medal. Alberta, who won the bronze medal at the Canada Games in 2017, is the only squad from Pool B to ever reach a Baseball Canada Cup gold medal contest having done so in 2002 and 2014.
