MATANZAS, Cuba-For the second consecutive day, heavy rain has caused a delay in the Cuba Summer Series.
First baseman Justin Morneau (New Westminster, B.C) of the Colorado Rockies has been added to the National League list of nominees for this year’s All-Star Game at Target Field in Minneapolis. Manager Mike Matheney and Major League Baseball announced the NL All-Star selections Sunday night, and presented five nominees for the final spot. Morneau’s competition will come from second basemen Anthony Rendon (Nationals), first baseman Anthony Rizzo (Cubs), third baseman Casey McGehee (Marlins) and left fielder Justin Upton (Braves).
Baseball Canada’s 50 for 50 contest is designed to find the top moment or story in the 50 year history of the organization.
