AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico – The Canadian Women’s National Team is headed to the 2020 Women’s Baseball World Cup and with another medal on its resume, after notching its fifth win of the COPABE Women’s World qualifier against host Mexico on Sunday – an 11-1 five-inning, mercy-rule-shortened victory – to secure a bronze-medal finish after qualifying earlier in the event.
Ontario’s squads came away with two Gold Medals on Sunday night. Their 15U boys took the Ray Carter Cup finals in dramatic fashion. The first Ontario team also took the 13U National Championship in Repentigny.
With Saturday’s action in the books, the National Championships have come to Championship Sunday. The day will terminate in Medal matches after Saturday set the stage.
AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico – After consecutive losses at the COPABE Women’s World Qualifier, the Canadian Women’s National Team rebounded with a fight to the very end against Puerto Rico, coming out on top 9-7 on Friday.
