Playoff Picture is now set at the National Championships

The round-robin portion of the Baseball Canada National Championships is now complete in Québec City as all the teams in the medal round will try to leave Québec with some hardware.

At the Junior championship, Québec, who finished the round-robin with a 4-0 record, will take on New Brunswick (3-1) in the first semi-final.  Earlier in the day, Antoine Bernier of Granby, Québec threw a complete game no-hitter against British Columbia, earning him the win as Québec would take the victory by a score of 2-1.

In the other semi-final, Ontario (4-0) and British Columbia (3-1) will face off for the chance to play for the gold medal.

Saskatchewan (3-1) will take on Ontario (4-1) in the first semi-final at the Pee-Wee championship.  In the second semi-final, Québec (4-0) will take on either British Columbia (4-1) or Québec City (4-1) as those two will battle to see who earns second place in Pool A.

At the Bantam championship, the two Québec teams will face off in one semi-final while Alberta (3-1) takes on British Columbia (5-0) in the other semi-final to see who will play for the gold medal.

The host team and the provincial representative could face each other in the gold medal game in the Midget championship.  Québec City (3-1) plays Ontario (4-0) in the first semi-final and Québec (3-1) takes on British Columbia (3-1) in the second semi-final.
