The Toronto Blue Jays in partnership with Baseball Canada will host the first Blue Jays Baseball Academy National Baseball Coaching Clinic at Rogers Centre from January 4-6, 2013.
The clinic will be targeted to baseball coaches working at all levels of competition. Baseball Canada will provide professional development credit for coaches that attend, as well as host four Instructor Stream NCCP certification modules, BASE RUNNING, INFIELDING, OUTFIELDING AND HITTING. The cost of the NCCP modules is built into the Clinic registration fees and there will be no additional cost to participants.

Baseball Canada’s NCCP Professional Development (PD) program will begin on January 1, 2013. In a three-year timeframe, coaches must acquire 12 PD points in order to maintain certification. Baseball Canada will provide 3 PD points for attending the full weekend, as outlined in the NCCP PD program. Coaches that attend the Base Running, Infielding, Outfielding or Hitting session, will be awarded 5 PD points per module.

Instructors will include Duane Ward, Lloyd Moseby, Sandy Alomar Sr., Rance Mulliniks, Homer Bush and Doug Davis with more names to be added at a future date. Participants can register at www.bluejays.com/baseballacademy for a cost of $120.
