Western tournaments starting to take shape heading towards the medal round

OTTAWA – The standing for both the Senior Men and Western Peewee tournaments are starting to become clearer with the medal closely approaching.  The medal round for the Peewee tournament is set as Saturday’s schedule will see semi-final action.  The Men’s tournament is little less clear with a few more games to be played before the medal round begins.

Alberta (1) 9  Saskatoon 7

Alberta broke a 7-7 tie with two go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and Clayton Keyes (Calgary, AB) closed things out the rest of the way as Alberta picked up the victory.  Keyes was also great at the plate, reaching base three time in his four plate appearances.  Brody Vogel (Saskatoon, SK) had two hits for Saskatoon, including a home run.
