HOW IT HAPPENED
JNT HIGHLIGHTS
THEY SAID IT
Reliever Michael Brettell on his perfect two innings of work:
“I was able to keep the ball down (in the strike zone) and managed to get some ground balls and fly balls,” he said. “It felt good being outside for the first time this year and I’m happy with the way I threw the ball.”
Brettell on facing pro hitters:
“It’s fun. I just try and concentrate on what I need to do on the mound and treat them as any other hitter I (normally) face. You can get away with mistakes back home, but here the hitters aren’t as forgiving.”
