SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS, DR – The Junior National Team capped off the Dominican Summer League tour with a 15-7 win over MLB Prospect League in a contest that spanned over four hours and featured 27 hits, 10 errors and 19 walks, 15 of which were issued by the Prospects.
BOCA CHICA, DR – After sweeping a doubleheader yesterday, the Junior National Team got behind the Cincinnati Reds Dominican squad early and fell by a score of 8-2. The Reds used 11 hits including five doubles, while the juniors could only muster three hits on offence and committed six errors.
GUERRA/SAN PEDRO DE MACORIS, DR – The Junior National Team earned a pair of one run victories today to sweep a doubleheader, first beating the Philadelphia Phillies Dominican squad 4-3 in the morning before taking care of the Detroit Tigers, 3-2, in the afternoon match up.
BOCA CHICA, DR – The Seattle Mariners Dominican prospects built a five run lead after five innings and held off a late surge from the Junior National Team to come away with a 6-4 victory.

GUERRA/BOCA CHICA, DR – Josh Burgmann (Nanaimo, BC) and Mathieu Deneault-Gauthier (Candiac, QC) were tremendous as they combined to fashion a two-hit shutout as the Junior National Team handed the New York Yankees Dominican squad a 1-0 loss. Burgmann threw 61 pitches and recorded four strikeouts over six innings of work, while Deneault-Gauthier threw just 28 pitches and had three strikeouts in three innings on the mound. At one point, they combined to retire 18 Yankees in a row and faced just 28 batters the entire game.
