Cartagena, Colombia-The Junior National Team pounded out thirteen hits and Skylar Janisse (Maidstone, ON) picked up the victory after tossing six innings to give Canada a 7-3 win over Panama in the opening game of the Americas World Junior Qualification Tournament.

Boca Raton, FL-In a wild back and forth affair, the Junior National Team tied Team USA 11-11 in their final tune-up game prior to the Americas World Junior Qualification Tournament in Cartagena, Colombia November 17-27.
Fort Lauderdale, FL-The Junior National Team had no answer for Team USA this afternoon as they were blanked 10-0. The teams used the ninth inning to utilize the IBAF extra innings rule.
Coral Gables, FL-A six-run sixth inning was the difference in the game as the Junior National Team dropped a 9-3 decision to the University of Miami Hurricanes. The Juniors had taken the lead in the top of the sixth before the Canes came back and held on for the win.
Boca Raton, FL-This was a game that the Junior National Team would rather forget as they were pounded by Florida Atlantic University 21-1. The loss drops the JNT’s record to 1-1 in exhibition play as they prepare for the Americas World Junior Qualification Tournament in Cartagena, Colombia November 17-27.
Fort Lauderdale, FL-Brett Siddall’s (Windsor, ON) two-run homer in the eighth highlighted a five-run inning as the Junior National Team went on to defeat Archbishop McCarthy High School 9-5. The win is the first of five exhibition contests the Juniors will play prior to travelling to Cartagena, Colombia next week for the Americas World Junior Qualification Tournament.
WINNIPEG, MB-Baseball Canada recognized its best at their annual awards banquet. The banquet was in conjunction with the four-day long Baseball Canada Fall Convention hosted by Baseball Manitoba in Winnipeg.
OTTAWA-Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the preliminary roster of players that will travel to St. Petersburg, FL in March as part of the Junior National Team’s Spring Training Alumni Week. Additional players could be named to the roster at a later date.
