OTTAWA – Eight games. Eight wins. That is what Team Ontario accomplished en route to repeating as Canada Cup champions. With this year’s title, Ontario has now won four of the past eight tournaments.
OTTAWA – Four games from Friday were carried over into Saturday at the Canada Cup, which made for lots of baseball to be played. Leading after four innings heading into today, Manitoba made sure to hold onto that lead by scoring seven runs in the final two innings to defeat New Brunswick 19-10. Other games also completed Saturday saw Nova Scotia defeat Newfoundland and Labrador 8-2; Ontario edge Quebec 6-5; and Alberta power past BC 13-9.
OTTAWA – After Saturday night’s quarter-final match between BC and Nova Scotia, Championship Sunday was officially set. BC, Manitoba, Ontario and Québec will battle it out to earn a birth in tonight’s championship game.
EDMONTON-The Canadian women have brought their bats with them to Edmonton as for the second consecutive game they achieved double digits in hits and earned another mercy-rule win, this time by a 14-2 score over Venezuela.

EDMONTON-Team Canada could not have envisioned a better start to the 5th IBAF Women’s World Cup than what took place at TELUS Field tonight as they earned a 12-2 mercy-rule win over Chinese Taipei.
OTTAWA - Only three games were completed on a rain-soaked day at the Canada Cup. Suspended games between Newfoundland and Labrador/Nova Scotia and New Brunswick/Manitoba will resume this morning at 8am. Yesterday’s postponed games between Ontario/Quebec and Alberta/BC will begin at 4pm.
