OTTAWA – Baseball Canada’s Director of National Teams and Head Coach Greg Hamilton was named the second most influential Canadian in baseball by Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun in his third annual list of baseball movers and shakers.

Toronto Blue Jays President Paul Beeston was selected the most influential Canadian in baseball for the second year in a row. The top five consists of new Jays General Manager Alex Anthopoulos, Milwaukee Brewers GM Doug Melvin and Philadelphia Philles Senior Advisor to the President Pat Gillick.

“It is truly an honour to be so highly regarded amongst such well respected baseball luminaries,” says Hamilton. “Bob has been such a wonderful supporter of our programs and a tremendous ally in promoting baseball in Canada.”
