OTTAWA-Baseball will return to the Olympic program for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games it was announced today by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after a unanimous vote by the body’s general assembly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
OTTAWA-For many, August means the final month of summer, perhaps a return to school or work not looming off in the distance. But for Baseball Canada, the month of August means National Championships and we have 11 of them, scattered across the country that will surely bring top quality competition to the communities that act as hosts.
OTTAWA-It was this time last year that our Women’s National Team program were a part of history, not only competing in the first ever women’s baseball competition at a major multi-sport games, but capturing a silver medal after coming up short against the United States in the gold medal game.
OTTAWA-If there was any doubt it is all but erased now.
