OTTAWA- In conjunction with Baseball Ontario’s 100th anniversary celebrations in Hamilton, Baseball Canada handed out their National Awards honouring volunteers, coaches, officials and athletes from across the country.
OTTAWA- Eight Baseball Canada National Championship hosts were determined during the annual Baseball Canada Fall Meetings that took place in Hamilton over the weekend.
OTTAWA-Delegates from all ten provincial baseball associations including representatives from the coaching, umpiring and administrative areas will join Baseball Canada’s Executive, Board of Directors and office staff in Hamilton from November 16 to 19 for the annual Baseball Canada Fall Meetings.
OTTAWA- For the seventh time in eight years the Junior National Team will play a split-squad version of the Toronto Blue Jays during spring training.
OTTAWA- Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto was announced as one of three finalists for the National League’s Most Valuable Player award along with Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins and Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks with the winner being announced on November 16th.
OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is thrilled to be the recipient of the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC) Sheila Robertson Award for 2017 honouring a National Sport Organization or Multi-Sport Service Organization that demonstrates a consistent approach in valuing and recognizing the role of the coach within the organization, the media, and the public.
