Seven runs crossed the plate in the bottom of the sixth, turning a tie game into a 9–2 Ontario lead. Québec pushed across two more in the seventh, but the comeback stopped there as Ontario secured the 9–4 victory.
The gold medal moves Ontario one step higher on the podium after earning silver at the 2025 Ray Carter Cup.
Québec finished the 2026 championship with a 4–2 record, with both losses coming against Ontario. Québec opened the event with convincing victories over Saskatchewan and Alberta before shutting out British Columbia 9–0. After its 7–5 loss to Ontario, Québec bounced back with a shutout of Saskatchewan in the semifinal to earn silver.
