With the championship season in full stride, the 2025 Canada Summer Games are stepping up to the plate from August 10th to 24th in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The men’s baseball competition gets underway on August 10th and will host ten 17U provincial teams: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, defending gold medalists from 2022 Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Québec, and Saskatchewan as they strive for gold on one of the summer’s premier stages.
This year’s edition will feature two pools (A and B) and a round robin played within each. A crossover round between the pools will follow, then quarterfinals, semi-finals, and medal games. In the most recent edition in 2022, we saw Ontario take home gold, while Alberta captured silver, and Saskatchewan bronze.
Since 1969, with baseball’s first edition in the Canada Summer Games program, this tournament has gathered and showcased top talent from across the country. These games continue to act as a significant step in the development of many notable athletes.
