OTTAWA-The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) announced their deadlines to bid on international competition for 2015 and 2016 events.
Parties interested in bidding on an IBAF event must first notify Baseball Canada of their intentions and submit their bid package no later than September 30th, 2013.
Baseball Canada will review all interested bids at the Baseball Canada Fall Convention October 24-26, 2013 before bringing forward to the IBAF.
The following IBAF events are available for bids:
2015 events:
XXVII 18U Baseball World Cup and the III 12U Baseball World Cup
*Deadline for Federations to bring forth bids to IBAF is December 31, 2013.
2016 events:
II 21U Baseball World Cup, the III 15U Baseball World Cup and the VII Women's Baseball World Cup
* Deadline for Federations to bring forth bids to IBAF is June 30, 2014.
All National Federations interested in the bids can download the manuals about the standards that IBAF tournament hosts need to fulfill from www.ibaf.org. A form to express interest in hosting a tournament is also available for download.
