MLB Draft: Follow Baseball Canada on Twitter for MLB Draft Canadian coverage

OTTAWA-The annual Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft begins tonight at 7pm ET with picks 1 through 74, continues Friday (1pm ET) for rounds three through ten and wraps-up on Saturday (1pm ET) with rounds 11 to 40.

Baseball Canada will be live ‘tweeting’ all of the Canadian players selected via @baseballcanada on Twitter.com.

At the conclusion of each day, a complete recap of all Canadian sections will be posted on Baseball Canada’s website (baseball.ca).

In 2013, 21 Canadians were selected in the annual draft of high school and college eligible players with Maple Ridge, BC native and 2013 Junior National Team MVP Tyler O’Neill going in the third round to the Seattle Mariners.

The Chicago Cubs took Edmonton-born left-hander Rob Zastryzny in the second round out of the University of Missouri.

MLB Network will be televising the first 74 picks tonight with a pre-draft show beginning at 6pm ET before the draft begins with the Houston Astros making the first overall selection at 7pm ET.
