OTTAWA-Baseball Canada Lab and SKLZ have teamed-up to provide a kit that baseball coaches can use to properly train and test their athletes.
The kit, that consists of pylons, an agility ladder, reaction ball and power combo is aimed at supporting the Baseball Canada Lab – an endeavor to test and measure physical abilities among baseball players 12 – 18 years old. The lab (lab.baseball.ca) has developed a series of drills to support coaches with the goal of helping athletes perform better at the physical tests.
“One of the goals of the Baseball Canada Lab is to provide coaches with the tools necessary to help their players become better athletes and in turn become a better baseball player,” said Baseball Canada’s Manager of Baseball Operations André Lachance. “SKLZ offers the quality equipment any coach should carry in his equipment bag so they can incorporate physical testing drills into their season practices and training schedules.”
