Greetings from Summerside, Prince Edward Island proud home of the Cavendish Farms Baseball Canada National Peewee Championship! Plans are well on their way to ensure this years championship will be great one.
Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Summerside will be a enjoyable one.
TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)
Teams must arrive in Summerside by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2004.
Players and Coaches are asked to be at the Cavendish Farms Welcome Barbecue at Queen Elizabeth Park starting at 6:00 p.m. August 25, 2004. (Complimentary for Players, Coaches & Manager). Teams are reminded that team pictures are taken at this time so teams are encouraged to wear team attire.
Accommodations for players are as follows: All players are billeted (2 per household) if requested. Provincial offices must contact Summerside prior to August 1, 2004 if they wish to have players billeted. Accommodations for coaches and team officials have been arranged at Slemon Park. (Two double-rooms per team, including provincial rep.) The contact number for Slemon Park is (902) 432-1780.
For teams that wish to have paid accommodations (Hotel/Motel) you are welcome to call Summerside toll free at (902) 432-1282 for Hotel/Motel information or visit www.peiplay.com or call 1-800-565-7421.
All arranged accommodations are available from Wednesday, August 25 to Monday, August 30. Should teams wish to arrive earlier or stay longer it will be at their own expense.
We encourage all teams and officials to fly into Charlottetown Airport to support our provincial economy and enable us to provide you with a prompter transportation system from Charlottetown Airport to Summerside and vice versa. If teams cannot accommodate this request we will also provide transportation services to/from Moncton Air Port.
Players are provided breakfast at their billets (if billeting). Lunch and Supper are provided by the Host Committee during specified meal times.
Coaches and Managers are provided breakfast at Slemon Park and lunch and supper with their teams during specified meal times.
The Awards Gala is scheduled for Saturday, August 28 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club (7:30pm) Tickets are provided for accredited players, coaches and provincial reps. A Hot Meal will be served. Teams are expected to wear team clothing (Casual attire).
All games will be played at the Queen Elizabeth Park on the Very Important Volunteer and Gordie Arsenault Fields (Both fields have lighting). The park seats 5000 people and has many washrooms, food services, space for equipment storage and concessions stands including food and photos. MEETINGS:
The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25 starting at 8:30pm at Slemon Park Inn. Each team is permitted only to send two (2) reps per team and their provincial representative. clash royale hack
