BOCA CHICA, DR- Three left-handed pitchers allowed only one earned run and the Junior National Team received some timely offence as they went onto defeat the Cincinnati Reds Dominican prospects 7-4.
Guerra, DR-Josh Naylor (Mississauga, ON) and Tyler O’Neill (Maple Ridge, BC) each hit solo home runs, while Daniel Procopio (Toronto, ON) and Luke Manuel (Surrey, BC) combined for seven shutout innings as the Junior National Team defeated the Kansas City Royals Dominican prospects 4-2.

Less than 48 hours after arriving in the Dominican Republic the Junior National Team has three games under their belt including a doubleheader today where they dropped a 6-4 decision to the Toronto Blue Jays this morning before earning a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in an afternoon tilt.
OTTAWA – Baseball Canada announced today the names of 28 players that will head to the Dominican Republic May 22-31 for the Junior National Team’s annual Dominican Summer League Camp.
OTTAWA-Canada’s Junior National Team will be placed into a pool with Chinese Taipei, Japan, Venezuela, Czech Republic and Mexico at the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) 18U World Championship in Taichung, Taiwan August 30-September 8.
