THUNDER BAY – The United States received a grand slam from Olivia Pichardo and a three-run homer from Kelsie Whitmore as they handed Canada a devastating 23-0 loss at the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group A.
THUNDER BAY – Alexane Fournier (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) had five hits and drove in two runs to pace Canada’s 16-hit attack as they earned a 22-3 victory over Hong Kong at the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group A.
THUNDER BAY – A one hour rain delay did little to stop Canada’s offence as they exploded for six runs in the fourth inning to pull away from Mexico and go on to a 9-1 win to open the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group A at Baseball Central.

THUNDER BAY – The Women’s National Team will take on Mexico, Hong Kong, USA, South Korea and Hong Kong in Thunder Bay from August 8-13 in the IX WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group A in what will be the first sanctioned international baseball competition for Canada since 2019.
