OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is pleased to announce that 17,000 coaches are now registered through the National Coaches Certification Program (NCCP). The milestone number came in the month of March as coaches around Canada are busy registering for clinics in order to become certified for the upcoming baseball season.
OTTAWA- For twenty-six Bantam Girls a February trip to Cuba for some international baseball was a welcome change from the cold Canadian winter. In addition to the great weather and the opportunity to play in one of baseball’s true ‘hotbeds’, the girls had a life experience that will stay with them forever.

OTTAWA- Giving up their time and giving back to a sport is something that umpires in baseball do across diamonds all over Canada. Baseball Canada Umpires will take this approach to a whole new level as the Umpires Committee partners with KidSport™ Canada on a unique fundraising initiative. Starting in May, the Baseball Canada Umpires Committee will be asking each umpire to donate one game fee to KidSport, an organization that ‘removes financial barriers that prevent kids from playing organized sport.’

St. Petersburg, Florida-The Junior National Team were out-hit by the Netherlands eleven to two as they lost the finale of the spring training trip 8-0.
St. Petersburg, Florida- The Junior National Team had an experience of a lifetime as they not only got to play against the Toronto Blue Jays, but rub shoulders and learn what it takes to make it to the big-league’s from the Jays players themselves.
