OTTAWA – Championship pools are set as round robins came to a screeching halt at the Baseball Canada championships. Individual performances once again highlight a “scoreboard Saturday” that usually features the most action of the weekend.
AJAX, Ontario – After taking the first two games of the pre U-18 World Cup series, Canada has dropped three consecutive contests to Australia including a 5-2 defeat this evening.

AJAX, Ontario – Australia limited Canada to just four hits and managed just enough offence to come away with a 3-2 win and record their first victory of the pre U-18 World Cup Series.
AJAX, Ontario – Wesley Moore (Surrey, BC) and William Sierra (Montréal, QC) combined to strikeout 14 batters, Michael Stovman (Maple Ridge, BC) belted a solo home run and Rhys Cratty (Langley, BC) drove in four runs to lead Canada to an 8-2 win over Australia.

AJAX, Ontario – Archer Brookman’s (Pointe Claire, QC) RBI groundout in the bottom of the eighth scored Clayton Keyes (Calgary, AB) from third base to break a 2-2 tie and Canada hung on to defeat Australia, 3-2, to open the seven game series between the two countries.
AJAX, Ontario – After three days of practice, Team Canada is set to open a seven-game series against Australia’s U-18 squad in Ajax as both countries prepare for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Thunder Bay from September 1 to 10.
